Dadar, suburb of Mumbai



Dadar is a suburb in Mumbai situated in the heart of Mumbai city of Indian state of Maharashtra. Dadar is also a railway station on Western and central lines of Mumbai Suburban Railway and this is only railway station that is common to both Western and Central railway lines. Dadar railway station is one of the most crowded railway stations on the network that is a transit point for thousands of passengers using Mumbai local trains.
Dadar is a popular region of Mumbai city, has long been a cultural center, not only for Maharashtra and Marathi peoples but also for the entire Indian Diaspora. This region is also divided into East and West like other regions of Mumbai city by a railway line. Dadar East is popularly known as Dadar Central or Dadar Tram Terminus and Dadar West is called ad Dadar B.B which is the best market destination for residents of Central Mumbai.
