Dalhousie : beautiful Hill station

Dalhousie is a popular hill station it is hill resort town in the Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh in India. It is situated at 32.53° N 75.98° E and 2000 meters above sea level. Located at the top the five hills of Kathalagh, Potreyn, Terah, Bakrota and Bhangora, it was named after the British Viceroy Lord Dalhousie. It was a retreat for the British soldiers and bureaucrats. During British era, British officer visited this place for the summer vacation.

Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, and situated on the western side of the mountainous ranges of Dhauladhar. It is known not only for its captivating beauty, but also for the ancient temples, the valleys of Chamba and Pangi which are great trekking grounds.

Dalhousie is a quiet hill station with a very little night life, best suited for people who want to de-stress, who like the quiet, serene atmosphere, and for honeymooners, ideal for long walks picnics and treks. Its fresh and peaceful atmosphere and healthy surroundings makes you feel delighted.  People who like nightlife more this place is not for them.
