Saket, is an upmarket residential colony situated in the South Delhi district, of Delhi, India. The name Saket in Sanskrit means a place which is close to the heavens and Saket was the ancient name of the city of Ayodhya, an ancient, religiously significant city in Uttar Pradesh state. It falls under the Hauz Khas sub district of the South Delhi district. The district head quarter is also located on M.B. Road, Saket. DDA has also developed the Saket Sports Complex spread over 18.5 acres, in 1990.
